Volunteer Projects

Projects occur on the day and time that groups desire. Some student groups volunteer on multiple days.

Hands On Orlando has planned, managed and led more than 7000 hands-on projects that have served over 200,000 volunteers. Our work has helped 300+ Central Florida area non-profit organizations, schools and parks.

All projects are created by HOO based upon the goals and objectives of the groups we engage and support.

Here are a few possibilities.

  • Build and install benches and garden boxes that students construct from scratch.

  • Create trails and remove invasive plants, vines and trees in a park.

  • Assemble elevated garden boxes that are wheelchair accessible to seniors and persons with disabilities.

  • Paint group homes, shelters and classrooms.

  • Build bikes so high school students from low-income families can get and keep jobs and exercise.

  • Pack food and hygiene care packages for kids and families in a creative and meaningful, non-assembly-line way.

  • Create customized STEM, anti-bullying and financial literacy kits.

  • Design a garden and plant shrubs to transform a shelter for families who are homeless.

All HOO projects have a service-learning focus and improve The Human Condition.

Volunteer projects occur in the community and inside hotels.
